But for one homeowner, this peaceful ritual was often interrupted by Oregon’s frequent rain. Their second-floor deck, located just off the master bedroom, had no covering, leaving them exposed to the elements and unable to enjoy the space during wet weather.

That’s where we came in.

The goal was simple: transform the open second-story deck into a usable space year-round, without losing its connection to the outdoors. We started by designing and installing a custom roof structure that seamlessly blended into the home’s existing architecture. This new cover not only provides protection from rain but also offers shade on sunny days—perfect for enjoying a quiet moment outside with a morning coffee or a baby in hand.

But we didn’t stop there. We gave the interior of the deck a complete refresh, updating the flooring, trim, and overall finish to make the space feel cozy, clean, and modern. Every element was chosen to enhance comfort while maintaining durability against the Pacific Northwest weather.
